What Should I Expect?
Thanks for visiting the First Christian Church of Tempe (FCCT) website. If you are interested in visiting our church here is a general idea of what you can expect.
FCCT is a small church with about 130-150 in attendance on any given Sunday morning. Most people who attend FCCT dress casually. However, some folks wear more formal attire such as a dress, or shirt and tie. FCCT is full of friendly people in a relaxed environment.
Starting at 9am we offer Sunday school classes for adults and youth alike, as well as childcare for younger children. All classes provide age appropriate activities and instruction.
At 10:15 we take a break to hang out and grab a bite to eat. Get to know someone new or visit with old friends while enjoying some breakfast-type foods such as fruit and donuts, as well as coffee, juice, or tea.
Preaching from the Bible: relevant messages to apply to daily living, grounded in the Word of God.
Communion and Offering: each Sunday we have the opportunity to take Communion as well as the giving of tithes and offerings
Contemporary worship music: the worship band typically consists of guitars, bass, keyboard and drums and leads in the singing of modern worship songs and some traditional hymns in a contemporary style.
Invitation: at the close of our service the Elders (leaders) are available to meet with you. Do you need prayer? Do you want to know more about FCCT or becoming a Christian? This is the time where the Elders can answer any questions you may have.
Our service ends at noon but it is not uncommon for people to stick around and visit. FCCT is a great place to meet friendly people and we encourage you to consider joining us.
